Answer: Costumes for children 12 years and under rent for $35. Adult costumes usually rent for $45 to $75, but they can go up from there. Certain accessories are extra, such as shoes, some hats, parasols and other paraphernalia.

Question: May I rent just one piece of a costume if that's all I need?
Answer: Yes, you may. We charge $20 for a single item rental.

Question: How long is the rental period?
Answer: The standard rental period is 3 business days. This can be Friday to Monday, Saturday to Tuesday, Monday to Thursday, et cetera. Since Costume Ladies is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, those days don't count. Long-term rentals are handled on a case-by-case basis, and theatre groups and drama departments merit a discounted rate.

Question: Do you require a security deposit?
Answer: Yes, we do, but you are not charged unless the costume comes back late, destroyed, or not at all. An imprint of your credit card is made at the time of rental, which serves as the security deposit. The imprint is given to you when the costume is returned to our shop.

|
Question: Can I buy the costume if I really love it?
Answer: No, or we wouldn't have any stock left. However, we would be happy to build one for you. We charge $25/hour plus materials. Most costumes require at least 4 hours, so you can expect to be charged a minimum of $100.00. Custom orders are taken all year around, but those costumes needed for Halloween must be ordered by September 1.

Question: Am I responsible for laundering the costume I rent?
Answer: Absolutely not. Laundering is included in the cost of the rental, and many of our costumes need to be specially handled. Customers are requested not to launder, nor to alter any of our costumes. We do, however, very much appreciate your mentioning any special stain or minor damage sustained by the costume. Although we check our cosutmes routinely, we don't always catch the small problems and your assistance is very helpful. Normal wear & tear is expected, so only egregious damage or loss of the costume is charged to the customer.

Question: Can I rent a wig?
Answer: We do have some wigs in our rental stock and most rent for $10. We have an extensive selection of retail wigs, however, and you can special-order any you don't see in the shop. Wigs are not returnable, so you are encouraged to try them on before you buy them.

Answer: Men's tuxes rent for between $89 and $159, depending on the style and material. Costume Ladies offers a package price that includes the jacket, pants, shirt, tie, vest and jewelry. Dress shoes are available for an additional $18. At least half the rental price is due at the time of reservation, with the balance due upon pick-up.

|
Question: How long is the rental period for a tux?
Answer: The standard rental period for a tux is also 3 business days. Tuxes may be picked up on Friday and are due back in the shop on the following Monday. Formalwear may also be rented for an extended period (such as for a cruise) and cost is determined at the time of reservation.

|
|
Question: How early must I cancel my reservation to avoid being charged?
Answer: In general, you should cancel no later than one week before the occasion. During prom season, try to allow a week and a half. If the tuxedo has gone into production, the full rental price will be charged.

Question: Do you carry women's tuxes also?
Answer: Yes, we do. They consist of a jacket, shirt, tie, cummerbund and either pants or a skirt. The rental fee is $75.

Answer: As a matter of fact, we do. The prom gowns are primarily vintage styles and we have a variety of sizes. We also have some bridal gown rentals in various sizes. Prom gowns generally rent for $85, and wedding gowns rent for $150 to $200.
